Taylor Yard & Rio del Los Angeles State Park in Glassell Park

in Eastside Real Estate, Parks & Rec.

It took Los Angeles County Parks Department, along with the State park system, years to get this vision to become a reality. I remember when it was just a dirt patch.  It was the dream, vision, and voices of the neighbors that saw this opportunity come to fruition.  What I like best, from a real estate perspective are the added community value and the views from the Southeast side of Glassell and Cypress Park now see soccer & baseball fields!  It’s wonderful to see the Eastside communities of Mount Washington, Glassell Park, Cypres Park, Highland Park, and Eagle Rock utilize the open space for day camp, sunset strolls, and family fun!  Click HERE for the history of the park.  Join the daily RSS feeds to stay tuned on more Parks & Recreation around the area.

When your driving down San Fernando Road, near Glassell Park off the 2, look south and you’ll be suprised at this green oasis admist teh Los Angeles River and the railroad tracks.
